BoxLinkTV on Android TV / Android Box – Setup Guide

Android TV boxes are listed among the supported BoxLinkTV devices. Use a supported player from the available app store or official source, then add the service using Xtream Codes or an M3U playlist.

Before Installing the Player

  • Connect the Android TV or box to a stable internet connection.
  • Have the complete BoxLinkTV server URL, username, password, M3U URL, and guide details available.
  • Install Hot Player or another supported player from the official app listing available to your device.
  • Note the device model and Android version if support is needed.

Use the player’s available login fields

Some Android players offer Xtream Codes, some offer M3U, and some support both. Choose the method that matches the fields shown in the installed app.

Xtream Codes Setup

  1. Open the device app store and install a supported player.
  2. Open the player and choose Add User, Add Playlist, or the equivalent option.
  3. Select Xtream Codes API when available.
  4. Enter the complete server URL, username, and case-sensitive password from the welcome email.
  5. Save the profile and wait for live channels, VOD, and guide data to load.

M3U Playlist Setup

  1. Open a supported M3U-compatible player.
  2. Go to Remote Playlists, Add Playlist, or the equivalent menu.
  3. Paste the complete BoxLinkTV M3U URL.
  4. Save the playlist and wait for the channel list to populate.

Android TV Troubleshooting

  • If channels do not load, check the internet, restart the player, re-enter credentials, and confirm the full server URL.
  • If buffering occurs, switch from 4K to FHD or HD; use wired Ethernet for 4K when available.
  • If credentials fail, check spelling and letter case against the welcome email.
  • If EPG is not visible, allow 10–15 minutes on first load and reopen the app.

For a complete device matrix, use the all-device setup guide or contact support with the device and player details.
